Social Media Marketing Strategies

1. Use WhatsApp to grow a customers list. Collect every single WhatsApp number you can get and incentivize your customers/leads to save your WhatsApp number. Now, put up interesting pictures and offers everyday on your WhatsApp status and start smiling

2. Run Facebook Ads – this is a no-brainer. When done properly, Facebook ads alone can blow your business to heights you can only imagine

3. Create engaging content such as videos, infographics, or reels, to attract and retain customers – text alone won’t cut it

4. Collaborate with social media influencers or bloggers to promote your business to their followers. This is a little different from what I’ll talk about below. This time, you want to offer them something they truly desire in exchange for their platform

5. Pay social media influencers to hype your offers – make sure the influencers audience matches your buyer persona

6. Use social media to interact with customers and respond to their questions and concerns in a timely manner – their will be good, bad and ugly comments, be ready to respond appropriately

7. Conduct market research to learn more about your target audience and their needs – use Facebook audience insight tool for a simple research

8. Post each day on social media – they say “out of sight is out of mind”; you don’t want to be forgotten by your customers

Other Digital Marketing Strategies

10. Use Google My Business to optimize your online presence and make it easier for customers to find your business – if you know how powerful this tool is, you will not ignore it! Google will show your business for searches when a user search for a business like your own

11. Create a simple 1-page website with a blog section – write actionable and relevant blog posts around your buyer persona search keywords

14. Offer a newsletter or email subscription to keep customers informed about your business and promotions – this can be a bit difficult because your need to be able to setup an email campaign. However, it is doable with determination and the results can be powerful

15. Optimize your website for mobile to ensure that it is easy for customers to access and use on their phones – more and more customers are using their mobile devices for search and purchases more than ever before. Make sure your website will look good on their device

Marketing Strategies that I Used Offline

16. Partner with other businesses or organizations to cross-promote each other – A wedding photographer and a Makeup artist/cake designer, a fashion designer and a fabric seller, a farmer owner and a groceries shop owner, you can find a perfect fit

17. Attend local events and trade shows to network and promote your business – I used this method to grow my consultancy business by over 300% in less than 6 months

18. Offer discounts or promotions to attract new customers and retain existing ones – Black Friday, Cyber Monday, White Tuesday (lol), look for a good excuse to give discounts all year round

19. Create a loyalty program to reward customers for their repeat business – give souvenirs at the end of the each year

20. Use traditional advertising methods such as print or radio ads (only if you can narrow your target) – you want your ad money well targeted, you are not doing brand awareness, focus on selling

21. Host a contest or giveaway to generate buzz and attract new customers – people love contest, not only because they are likely to get something free in the end, but also because they like the idea of winning

22. Develop partnerships with other businesses or organizations to offer special deals or promotions to customers – so this could be combos for patronizing both businesses together as a bundle

23. Offer exceptional customer service to differentiate your business from competitors and create a positive customer experience – excellent customer service always wins
